Let me take you to one of my favorite places in Tokyo which is Roppongi Hills,Who says you can only enjoy meals in a park during Sunday and before noon or within. If you think about it, there are several reasons why other times can be just right for a picnic at your favorite park!
While picnic tables are usually filled with food and beverages during early hours, a picnic at dusk can be the perfect time to enjoy the peace and quiet of nature while enjoying your favorite meal “べんとう” BENTO which means a lightly prepared meal to eat on the run.
So before I show you photos of my picnic trip let me take you to a tour in ROPPONGGI hills, Please, don’t forget to check out my post of TSUTAYA STARBUCKS as I’m about to write it soon.
Roppongi hills, Ready for the journey!
Roppongi Hills is one of the best examples of a city within the city. Opened in 2003 in the heart of Tokyo’s Roppongi district, the building complex features offices, apartments, shops, restaurants, a hotel, art museum, observation deck and more. The office floors are home to leading companies from the IT and financial sectors, and Roppongi Hills has become a symbol of the Japanese IT industry where you can have both professional and fun life.
A must do experience, Strolling into ROPPONGI’s illumination
Illumination displays are found spread around in one of the three triangles surrounding the hills and as you can see to the left its really vivid and beautiful.
if you are riding or driving you can’t miss this KOWAI KANJI building really spooky on the top of the street before you go down to the hills to be exact it’s located in “”1 chome13 Nishiazabu, Minato-ku-106-0031”, google it and put the phone back in the pocket don’t jiggle it and go visit it 🙂
It’s so spooky like OBAKE YAHSIKI – Ghost house isn’t it! KOWA, JUST KIDDING!
Back to my picnic and some photos to the left this time, a sweet potato with an obento and tea will definitely get the job done. the fountain I’m gazing at now is like everyone has a little stress in their life and could use some stress relief and relaxation at the end of a long day. This fountain is my favorite in Tokyo check out the photo on the right, with its soothing sounds of flowing water this water fountain can bring stress relief and relaxation to the environment. When researching a fountain look for one with nice water sounds, nothing too overbearing or with no sound at all. Many fountains offer adjustable pumps so you can adjust the flow to liking and this one is no exception I guess just looks like an endless flow of water..
Meditation by gazing at the water fountain!
The relaxing and soothing sound that water makes it one of the best natural stress therapies there is. I myself experience and witness this therapeutic effect on a almost weekly basis.
Some studies also show that the sound of running water is very effective in relaxing people’s minds, so much so, it is even used to help people with sleeping problems. Personally, I think this has a lot to do with water’s ability to cancel out other noises. The splash of water may seem gentle and mild, but it makes a huge difference even if it’s only in the background and you’re not actively listening to it.
What do you think of this photo!nice, right 🙂
There is a vast garden surrounding the area and I would wagger it might as much beautiful as the water fountain. The presence of water alone instantly adds moisture to the air, helping to purify it. This means that water fountains can also serve as a natural humidifier and purifier. They are quite helpful for those who live in environments that are very dry and prone to airborne road or coal dust, as well as those who have allergies. Imagine if combining with a vast garden nearby!
Are you guys ready for the last surprise!
