Chiyoda Shizuka Neighborhood

My favorite way to explore a new place is on foot, honestly either on foot or riding my beauty “Black Road Bike from ASAHI JAPAN“. You can experience so much more just by wandering around at a slower pace, talking with locals, staring at people walking by “No creep :)”, and even getting lost. Walking around Chiyoda is always relieving, rewarding and a must do for anyone visiting Japan.

Chiyoda Shizuka Neighborhood, Ready for the journey!

Combining scenic cycling adventures with serene river cruising. By day you explore the history of surroundings and by night you’ll be lulled to sleep by calm waters, listening to the shizoka watercreek or just cruise cycling gazing at the office lights reflecting on the water while my favorite swan is sleeping by now. She is white I always see just one swimming in the moat not sure if there are many.By the way, Shizoka means quiet in Japanese written しずか in hiragana which is one type of three writing systems in Japanese “Hiragana, Katakana for foreign words and surely Kanji”

A must do experience, Chiyoda at night is different from chiyoda in the morning.

The perfect blend of a laid-back river cruise and invigorating, outdoor adventure at night. The itinerary and schedule are open for change depending on the mood, unleash your spirit and just let the breeze show you the way ahead. Forget squeezing your belongings and yourself into Tokyo busy trains and in case you don’t own a bike just don’t even worry about it Docomo bike will sort it out for you just have a Suica card in your pocket with few hundreds of Yen around five bucks I believe you can treat your feet with an electric all day long cycling battery support from Docomo.

As a matter of fact, Hibiya Park at front of Chiyoda is also worth visiting on Sunday specially if you like Bar-Brothers work-out, tennis or if you are just a foodie who happened to enjoy Japanese food festivals.

A few seconds check of your bicycle will prevent hours of unhappiness while riding. Check that your wheels are free of wobbles, tires stiffness, treads for small sharp objects lodged in the rubber from time to time though, your brakes are in a good shape, and that your chain moves with ease, then just GO 🙂

While riding you have to know the navigation around Chiyoda cause it can lead to different destinations if not focused, for example, Ginza is east , Roppongi is west, Gotanda is south and North can just take you to Akihabara so you can dive into Anime world.

Overall, Photos can be deceptive as it might not display the hidden beauty of Chiyoda

and the silence heard and felt there every single day.

Take a look on those guidelines for a safe ride at night:

  • Always keep to the far left, Stay on sidewalks, it’s really up to your speed and comfort.
  • Abide by all traffic signs and lights.
  • Don’t ring the bell to show your presence when approaching or passing people.
  • As I mentioned It’s Shizuka so don’t disturb the peace.
  • Walk your bike when on non-bicycle paths.
  • Have a good ride.

If you are using the train get by Hibiya station and you will find your way but walking isn’t so comfortable due to vast space, prep, get get get and go ahead.:) Love y’all.
